Lee Elms
Mr. Elms is the managing partner ELMS Lee's areas of practice are banking, commercial litigation, construction, general business and real estate. He has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Lee has been active in the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association and is a member of the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit. As a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, he has been a member of the Business Law Section and served on the Legislative Liaison Committee, the Legal Ethics Committee and the Fee Dispute Committee. Currently, he is a committee member on The Supreme Court of Texas' Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. He is also a member of the San Antonio Law Foundation, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Texas Association of Bank Counsel and Wintergarden Banker's Association, Commercial Law League of America, Inter-American Bar Association and Who's Who in America Law. Lee authored Texas Construction Law, "What To Do If You Don't Get Paid," NBI, 1987, had two cases published: In re: HLW Enterprises of Texas, Inc., 157 B.R. 592 (Bankr. W.D. Tex. 1993); and Tye v. Apperson, 689 S.W.2d 320 (Tex. App.-Fort Worth, May 8, 1985) (No. 2-84-228-CV), writ granted (Oct 30, 1985), writ withdrawn (Jan 15, 1986), writ refused n.r.e. (Jan 15, 1986); one case affirmed by unpublished opinion in: Ralph v. Kenedy, No. SA-94-CA-0523, United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division; and one case reversed and rendered by unpublished opinion in: Clark v. Kidwell, No. 09-89-00233 CV, Court of Appeals, Ninth Supreme Judicial District, Beaumont, Texas. Lee was a member of the Bulverde Lions Club and actively participates in its annual fundraiser, which benefits the Lions Camp for Crippled Children, the Lions Eye Bank and supports the Lions Foundation. He is also a member of the U.S. Golf Association and National Cowboy Hall of Fame. In his free time, he enjoys golf, reading and travel. |
